Specs: M12 Pro Gen2 vs S16 Plus
Suction Power
The Yeedi M12 PRO Gen2 lists a peak suction of 25000Pa, which is significantly higher than the S16 Plus. The S16 Plus specifies 16,600Pa suction power. Higher suction numbers generally indicate stronger airflow for lifting embedded dust and pet hair from carpets. The M12 PRO Gen2 holds a clear advantage in raw suction strength on paper. This spec suggests it may handle heavy debris or deep-pile rugs more effectively. The S16 Plus offers a quieter operation claim, but the M12 PRO Gen2 provides more aggressive cleaning force for tough messes.
Mop Mechanism
These robots use different mopping technologies. The M12 PRO Gen2 utilizes dual rotating mop pads that apply downward pressure to scrub stains. The S16 Plus features an OZMO Roller Mop that rinses itself continuously during cleaning. Roller mops often provide more consistent coverage on large hard floor areas, while rotating pads may target specific spots with more agitation. The S16 Plus also includes hot water washing in the dock. The M12 PRO Gen2 relies on hot air drying. The roller design of the S16 Plus offers a distinct mechanical advantage for streak-free hard floors.
Navigation Type
Both models use laser-based navigation for mapping and route planning. The M12 PRO Gen2 employs TrueMapping 2.0 LDS Laser Navigation. The S16 Plus uses AI-powered LiDAR. LiDAR systems often provide slightly faster mapping and better obstacle recognition due to advanced sensor processing. The S16 Plus explicitly mentions AI-powered obstacle avoidance. The M12 PRO Gen2 focuses on accurate multi-floor mapping and resume cleaning. Both systems allow for room-specific cleaning and no-go zones. The S16 Plus gains a slight edge with its AI-powered navigation claims for smarter pathing.
Dock Capabilities
The docking stations serve different maintenance needs. The M12 PRO Gen2 dock features auto water refill and hot air drying for the mop pads. This keeps the water tank full and prevents mold via air drying. The S16 Plus dock offers hot water washing, drying, and solution dispensing. Hot water washing is more effective at removing grease and dried-on stains from the mop itself. The S16 Plus also claims 150 days of hands-free freshness. The M12 PRO Gen2 lacks self-emptying or hot water washing specs. The S16 Plus dock provides more thorough mop cleaning.
Physical Build
The physical dimensions differ between the two units. The M12 PRO Gen2 measures 13.8 inches in length, 18.8 inches in width, and 21 inches in height. The S16 Plus measures 22.1 inches in length, 15 inches in width, and 16.1 inches in height. The S16 Plus is wider but shorter and longer. The M12 PRO Gen2 is taller and narrower.
