M12 PRO Gen2 vs M12 MAX Plus Specs
Navigation Type
The Yeedi M12 PRO Gen2 uses TrueMapping 2.0 LDS Laser Navigation. This system creates highly accurate maps for efficient route planning. It works well in bright or low-light environments and supports multi-floor mapping. The Yeedi M12 MAX Plus relies on Mini-ToF navigation combined with structured light. It also features an RGB AI camera with a night fill light. This setup helps it identify and avoid obstacles in dark environments. Laser navigation generally offers faster mapping, while ToF with AI cameras excels at object detection.
Dock Capabilities
Both docks handle water refilling and mop drying. The M12 PRO Gen2 dock provides auto water refill and 113°F hot air drying. It keeps the mop pads fresh after each cycle. The M12 MAX Plus dock is more comprehensive. It includes auto emptying, hot water wash at 167°F, and adjustable hot air drying for two, three, or four hours. It also features large 3L dust bags and 4L water tanks. If you want a fully hands-free experience with hot water washing, the MAX Plus dock is superior.
Obstacle Avoidance
The M12 MAX Plus includes advanced obstacle avoidance features. It uses Mini-ToF navigation, structured light, and an RGB AI camera. These sensors accurately identify and avoid objects even in dark conditions. The M12 PRO Gen2 data does not list specific AI obstacle avoidance sensors or cameras. It relies on LDS laser navigation for mapping and route planning. Without the AI camera and structured light data, the MAX Plus offers better protection for furniture and clutter on the floor.
Suction Power
Both robot vacuums deliver identical suction performance. The Yeedi M12 PRO Gen2 offers 25000Pa of suction power. The Yeedi M12 MAX Plus also provides 25000Pa of suction. This strong airflow lifts dust, pet hair, and debris from hard floors and carpets. Since the suction specifications are exactly the same, neither model has an advantage in raw cleaning force. You will get the same deep cleaning capability for everyday messes with either choice.
Mop Lifting
Both models feature OZMO Turbo 2.0 dual rotating mop pads. The M12 MAX Plus specifies a 0.35-inch automatic mop lift. This height raises the pads to avoid wetting carpets. The M12 PRO Gen2 mentions smart carpet detection with auto mop lift but does not list the exact lift height in the specifications. Both systems detect carpets and boost suction for deeper cleaning. The MAX Plus provides the specific measurement, while the PRO Gen2 confirms the functionality without the exact dimension.
Battery Life
The M12 MAX Plus includes a 6400mAh high-capacity lithium battery. It delivers up to 255 minutes of runtime in silent mode. In standard sweep-mop mode, it lasts 198 minutes. The M12 PRO Gen2 data does not list battery capacity or runtime minutes. Without this data, we cannot compare the endurance of the two units directly. If long cleaning sessions are a priority, the MAX Plus provides verified battery specifications that suggest extensive coverage.
Which Yeedi Model Fits Your Home
Users with pets needing less brush maintenance
The M12 PRO Gen2 features ZeroTangle 3.0 technology. This updated system minimizes hair wrap around the main brush more effectively than the older version. You will spend less time manually removing tangled fur. The 25000Pa suction handles pet debris well. This upgrade ensures consistent cleaning performance without frequent interruptions to clear the brush.
Buyers wanting advanced obstacle avoidance in dark rooms
The M12 MAX Plus uses Mini-ToF navigation combined with an RGB AI camera. This setup identifies and avoids obstacles even in dark environments. The structured light adds precision for path planning. You benefit from smarter navigation around clutter. This feature set offers better situational awareness than laser-only systems for complex home layouts.
Those prioritizing hygienic mop pad washing
The M12 MAX Plus dock washes mop pads with 167°F hot water. This high temperature helps remove sticky spills and dried stains more thoroughly. The OMNI station also includes adjustable hot air drying. You get a cleaner mop pad for each cycle. This maintenance feature supports better hygiene compared to models with simpler drying methods.
Users needing reliable multi-floor mapping
The M12 PRO Gen2 supports multi-floor mapping via its LDS laser navigation. You can store maps for different levels of your home. The system creates accurate layouts for efficient route planning. This is ideal for large or multi-story houses. You can switch between floors seamlessly without remapping your entire space.
