You may be looking for dolphin cayman automatic robotic pool alternatives because the original model has specific limitations. The Dolphin Cayman 2026 handles in-ground pools up to 33 feet with wall climbing and a weekly timer. It weighs 24.3 pounds and measures 17.2 by 15.8 by 10.4 inches. This unit uses CleverClean Technology to scan floors and walls. It cleans in two hours without hoses or booster pumps. It is also eight times more energy efficient than suction cleaners.
However, you might need a different size, power source, or connectivity. Some pools exceed 33 feet, requiring a larger coverage area. Others benefit from cordless operation or Wi-Fi scheduling. We selected these alternatives because their specifications overlap with the original product. Each option shares key traits like wall climbing or specific pool size limits. This guide compares 6 models based on their published specs. You can find a cleaner that matches your exact pool dimensions and feature needs.
Our top pick: Dolphin Cayman 2026 Robotic Cleaner.
How each alternative compares
Dolphin Nautilus CC Wall-Climbing Pool Cleaner
The Dolphin Nautilus CC shares the same 33-foot pool limit and wall-climbing capability as the Cayman. It is significantly lighter at 14.8 pounds and slightly narrower, making it easier to handle. You give up the programmable weekly timer found on the Cayman, opting for a simpler, manual operation. This model suits users who prefer straightforward controls over scheduled automation. The dimensions are compact, measuring 16.4 inches long and 8.97 inches high. It remains a reliable choice for standard in-ground pools where weight and simplicity matter more than smart scheduling features.
Dolphin Proteus DX3 Wall-Climbing Pool Cleaner
The Dolphin Proteus DX3 also targets in-ground pools up to 33 feet with wall climbing. It matches the Nautilus CC in weight at 14.8 pounds but is larger, measuring 22.2 inches long and 12.8 inches high. Like the Nautilus, it lacks the Cayman’s weekly timer, relying on basic plug-in operation. This cleaner is ideal for smaller pools where you want active scrubbing without complex setup. The wider body may cover more surface area per pass. It offers a practical, no-frills approach to pool maintenance for those who prioritize physical scrubbing power over digital scheduling or lightweight portability.
Dolphin Liberty 200 Cordless Pool Cleaner
The Dolphin Liberty 200 introduces cordless operation, a major shift from the Cayman’s tethered design. It fits pools up to 33 feet and climbs walls, matching the Cayman’s coverage area. However, it weighs less at 17.9 pounds and has a different profile, standing 17.3 inches high. You trade the Cayman’s weekly timer for battery convenience. This model suits users who want to avoid cable management entirely. The vertical orientation may affect stability in certain pool shapes. It is a premium option for those prioritizing wireless freedom over the proven, wired reliability and scheduled cleaning cycles of the original Cayman model.
Dolphin Nautilus CC Pro Wi-Fi Pool Cleaner
The Dolphin Nautilus CC Pro Wi-Fi supports pools up to 50 feet, exceeding the Cayman’s 33-foot limit. It features Wi-Fi connectivity for remote control, a significant upgrade from the Cayman’s local timer. The unit is larger, measuring 20 inches on each side, and weighs 16.5 pounds. It climbs walls and offers smart scheduling via an app. This model is best for larger in-ground pools where you want precise, remote management. You gain extensive coverage and digital control but accept a bulkier footprint. It replaces the Cayman for users who need to manage bigger water volumes and prefer app-based automation over physical button presses.
Lodoba Cordless Wall-Climbing Pool Vacuum
The Lodoba SAT25 is designed for above-ground pools, unlike the in-ground focused Dolphin Cayman. It climbs walls and offers cordless convenience, similar to the Liberty 200. Its coverage is limited to 2150 square feet, which may not suit all pool sizes. It lacks the smart features and extensive wall-climbing algorithms of the Dolphin series. The unit is compact, measuring 14 inches square. This cleaner is a practical choice for smaller, simpler above-ground setups where you do not need advanced programming. You sacrifice the brand’s specialized in-ground technology for a versatile, budget-friendly option that handles basic debris removal in shallower environments.
TALOSBO C1 Wall-Climbing Robotic Pool Cleaner
The TALOSBO C1 covers in-ground pools up to 1,615 square feet, a specific metric different from the Cayman’s linear foot limit. It features a triple-motor system and wall climbing. It offers app-controlled automation, surpassing the Cayman’s basic weekly timer. The unit measures 15.9 inches long and 11 inches high, comparable in size to the Cayman. It is a practical choice for users who want extended runtime and comprehensive coverage through advanced motorization. You gain smart connectivity and powerful scrubbing but may find the operation more complex than the Cayman’s straightforward design. It suits those who prioritize thorough, automated cleaning cycles over simple mechanical operation.
