How to Choose Your NARWAL Vacuum

1. Check Mop Maintenance Needs

You must decide how much manual effort you want for cleaning. The Freo Z Ultra includes a self-emptying base, which reduces how often you touch the dustbin. The Freo X Plus and Flow models do not have this feature. If you prefer minimal upkeep, the self-emptying option is key. Without it, you will need to empty the bin more frequently. This spec directly impacts your daily routine and convenience levels.

2. Assess Floor Type Compatibility

Your home’s flooring determines which model works best. The Freo X Plus is listed as ideal for carpets, hard floors, and pet hair. This makes it a strong choice for mixed flooring environments. The Freo Z Ultra focuses on precise obstacle avoidance and hot-water mopping. It suits homes where detailed cleaning is priority. You should match the ideal floor types to your specific needs to ensure effective cleaning performance across all surfaces.

3. Review Navigation Technology

Navigation type affects how the robot maps your home. The Freo X Plus uses LiDAR navigation for precise mapping. This technology helps it navigate efficiently around furniture and obstacles. The Freo Z Ultra relies on dual camera AI for superior obstacle recognition. You should consider which navigation method aligns with your home layout. LiDAR is often reliable for large open spaces, while camera AI may excel at identifying small objects.

4. Evaluate Size and Weight

Physical dimensions impact storage and cleaning capability. The Freo Z Ultra is significantly larger, measuring 18.5 inches wide and weighing 43 pounds. The Freo X Plus is much smaller at 16.5 inches wide and 11.5 pounds. The Flow model is also compact. If you have limited storage space, the smaller models are better. The larger unit requires more room for the base and the robot itself during charging.

5. Consider Suction for Pet Hair

If you have pets, suction power is critical. The Freo X Plus is highlighted for strong suction and pet hair removal. This makes it a practical choice for households with animals. The Freo Z Ultra also offers strong suction but focuses more on mopping precision. You should prioritize suction strength if pet hair is a major concern. This spec ensures that hair is picked up effectively from carpets and hard floors.
