How to choose the right NARWAL model
-
Check mopping features
You should verify if the unit includes mopping capabilities, as this guide focuses on vacuum and mop combinations. All three NARWAL models listed here feature mopping as a special feature. This means you can tackle sticky spills alongside dry debris. If you only need vacuuming, these specific models might offer more features than you require. Confirm that the mop function aligns with your cleaning routine before purchasing.
-
Assess pet hair needs
If you have pets, look for models specifically noted for pet hair removal. The NARWAL Flow 2 Robot Vacuum and Mop is highlighted for deep mopping and pet hair removal. It delivers strong suction to lift embedded fur from carpets. The Flow 2 with Auto Refill and Drainage is also best for pet owners seeking auto mopping. Choose a model that explicitly mentions pet hair handling for the best results.
-
Evaluate navigation type
Consider the navigation system if your home has many obstacles. The NARWAL Flow Robot Vacuum and Mop is best for cluttered homes with AI navigation needs. It offers precise AI navigation to avoid items on the floor. If your floors are clear, basic navigation may suffice. However, for homes with toys or furniture legs, the AI avoidance feature helps prevent tangles and missed spots during cleaning cycles.
-
Review dock requirements
Check if you need automatic water handling for a hands-free experience. The NARWAL Flow 2 with Auto Refill and Drainage includes this feature. It manages water refill and drainage automatically. The standard Flow 2 without RDS does not list these automatic dock features. If you prefer minimal maintenance, the model with auto refill and drainage is the practical choice. Otherwise, the standard model requires manual water management.
-
Compare physical dimensions
Ensure the robot fits under your furniture and in your storage space. The NARWAL Flow 2 with Auto Refill and Drainage is 3.74 inches tall. The standard Flow 2 is significantly taller at 23.6 inches. The NARWAL Flow Robot Vacuum and Mop measures 17.1 inches high. Check your clearance under sofas and beds. Smaller heights allow the robot to clean under more furniture. Verify these dimensions against your home layout before deciding.
