Looking Beyond the AIPER Surfer S2 Solar Powered? 6 Alternatives Worth a Look

How these models compare to AIPER

Beatbot iSkim Solar Pool Skimmer

The Beatbot iSkim offers a wider footprint at 23 inches square, compared to the AIPER Surfer S2’s narrower 7.9-inch width. This broader design may cover more surface area per pass. Both units rely on solar power and app control for management. The Beatbot is noted for performance in saltwater pools, whereas the AIPER is a general-purpose solar skimmer. You get obstacle avoidance on both devices. The Beatbot’s larger dimensions might suit wider pools, while the AIPER’s slim profile fits tighter spaces or pools with narrow edges. Both prioritize low-maintenance, continuous surface debris removal without manual intervention.

Supclean SolarSurfer S5 Blue Pool Skimmer

The Supclean SolarSurfer S5 uses Bluetooth control rather than Wi-Fi app connectivity. This limits remote access but may offer more reliable local management for some users. It features a significantly larger body, measuring 26.2 inches in length, compared to the AIPER’s 16.3 inches. This increased size suggests a larger debris capacity. The Supclean is optimized for in-ground pools with steps. The AIPER Surfer S2 is more compact and uses standard app control. If you prefer direct Bluetooth pairing over cloud-based apps, the Supclean is a practical alternative. Both are solar-powered and designed for surface skimming, but their connectivity and physical dimensions differ notably.

Supclean Solar Pool Skimmer Robot

The Supclean Solar Pool Skimmer Robot shares the same physical dimensions as the Bluetooth model, measuring 26.2 inches long and 18 inches wide. It utilizes ultrasonic sensors for navigation, a detail not specified for the AIPER Surfer S2. Both devices are solar-powered and app-controlled. The Supclean model emphasizes large-capacity skimming to keep debris out of the main filter system. The AIPER is more compact at 16.3 inches. If you want guided cleaning via sensors and a larger footprint for heavy debris loads, the Supclean offers those features. The AIPER remains a choice for those who prefer a smaller, obstacle-avoiding unit with standard app management.

Yousky Pura V12 Solar Pool Skimmer

The Yousky Pura V12 includes chlorine dispensing, a feature absent from the AIPER Surfer S2. This adds chemical management to the cleaning routine. It is also longer, at 29.3 inches, compared to the AIPER’s 16.3 inches. Both use solar power and app control. The Yousky offers obstacle avoidance, similar to the AIPER. If you want automated surface cleaning combined with basic water treatment, the Yousky provides a dual function. The AIPER focuses solely on debris removal. The Yousky’s length might affect maneuverability in smaller pools, while the AIPER’s compact size allows for easier navigation around pool features. Both are practical for continuous solar-powered maintenance.

BRINBO SK01 Solar Pool Skimmer Robot

The BRINBO SK01 includes backup charging options, providing reliability beyond solar power alone. This is a key difference from the AIPER Surfer S2, which relies solely on solar energy. Both are app-controlled for surface cleaning. The BRINBO has a larger width at 20 inches, compared to the AIPER’s 7.9 inches. It also features a large filter basket, suggesting higher debris capacity. The AIPER is more slender and uses obstacle avoidance. If you need backup power for cloudy days or want a wider cleaning path, the BRINBO is suitable. The AIPER is better for pools where a narrow profile is necessary. Both prioritize app-based management and solar efficiency for surface maintenance.

CZYBYTE Cordless Robotic Pool Vacuum Cleaner

The CZYBYTE P1181 is cordless rather than solar-powered, offering strong suction for deeper cleaning. This contrasts with the AIPER Surfer S2, which is solar-only and focused on surface skimming. Both use app control. The CZYBYTE is smaller in width at 15.2 inches, but its design prioritizes suction power over solar autonomy. It is ideal if you want thorough cleaning without waiting for solar charging. The AIPER is better for continuous, maintenance-free surface debris removal. The CZYBYTE requires charging but delivers more aggressive cleaning. Choose the CZYBYTE if you prioritize power and cordless convenience. Choose the AIPER if you prefer sustainable, always-on surface cleaning without manual charging.
