The Intex Automatic Pool Cleaner for Above Ground Pools is a simple, pump-driven tool designed for floors in pools up to 24 feet. It relies on your existing filter pump, requiring a flow rate between 1,600 and 4,000 GPH to operate. This makes it a low-cost entry point for basic debris removal. However, you might seek intex automatic pool cleaner above alternatives if you need wall scrubbing, cordless freedom, or coverage for larger pools beyond 24 feet.
We selected 6 alternatives because their core specifications overlap with the Intex model. These options include robotic cleaners with independent power sources and different cleaning patterns. Some offer app control or solar power, while others focus on heavy-duty suction or self-parking features. Each product listed here addresses specific gaps in the original design, such as multi-surface cleaning or extended runtime. You can compare their dimensions, power sources, and intended pool sizes to find the right fit for your maintenance needs.
Our top pick: Intex Above Ground Automatic Pool Cleaner.
How alternatives compare to Intex
Beatbot Sora 10 Cordless Pool Vacuum
The Beatbot Sora 10 Cordless Pool Vacuum differs significantly by operating without a hose or external pump. While the Intex model cleans only the floor and requires a specific flow rate, the Beatbot unit is cordless and designed to scrub walls and the waterline. It weighs 18.7 pounds and measures 5.91 inches long, making it a substantial, self-contained robot. This option suits owners of larger above-ground pools who need more than just floor vacuuming. You gain automated wall cleaning and independent operation, but you give up the simplicity of a low-cost, pump-driven system that uses your existing infrastructure.
Dolphin Nautilus AG Robotic Pool Cleaner
The Dolphin Nautilus AG Robotic Pool Cleaner targets pools up to 33 feet, whereas the Intex unit is limited to 24 feet. This robotic cleaner weighs 14.6 pounds and measures 18 inches long, offering a different form factor than the Intex’s 11-pound, pump-driven design. It provides efficient floor cleaning without needing a filter pump with a specific GPH range. You get a dedicated robotic solution for larger spaces, but you lose the minimal setup required by the Intex. The Dolphin is a practical choice if you prioritize cleaning efficiency and do not need wall scrubbing or cordless freedom, making it a step up in capability for medium-sized pools.
BRINBO S2 Cordless Pool Robot
The BRINBO S2 Cordless Pool Robot offers a cordless alternative to the Intex’s hose-dependent operation. It features a 90-minute runtime and dual-layer filtration, focusing on reliable floor cleaning for above-ground pools. Weighing less than the Intex, it measures 14.6 inches long and 7.1 inches high. This model fits users who want a simple, cordless solution for flat-bottom pools without advanced smart features. You gain freedom from hose management and pump compatibility checks, but you give up the continuous operation possible with a connected filter pump. It is a straightforward option for those prioritizing ease of use over raw suction power or complex navigation.
Aiper Cordless Above-Ground Pool Cleaner
The Aiper Cordless Above-Ground Pool Cleaner provides self-parking functionality, a feature absent in the Intex model. Designed for small above-ground pools under 40 feet, it operates cordlessly, removing the need for a hose or external pump. The unit measures 13.4 inches long and 6.8 inches high, offering a compact footprint. It suits buyers who value cordless convenience and quick, untangled cleanings over smart features. You gain the ability to clean without managing cords or checking pump flow rates, but you lose the continuous, automated operation of the Intex. This is a practical choice for those who prefer portable, manual-start cleaning sessions.
Betta Neo Solar Pool Skimmer
The Betta Neo Solar Pool Skimmer serves a completely different purpose, focusing on surface skimming rather than floor vacuuming. It is solar-powered and controlled via an app, unlike the Intex’s mechanical, pump-driven design. Weighing just 9 pounds, it is lighter than the Intex and measures 19.5 inches long. This device suits users who prioritize remote control and eco-friendly power for surface maintenance. You gain automated, weather-adaptive cleaning and app control, but you give up the ability to vacuum debris from the pool floor. It is an ideal complement for those who want to maintain water clarity without manual intervention, rather than a replacement for floor cleaning.
WYBOT Cordless Robotic Pool Cleaner
The WYBOT Cordless Robotic Pool Cleaner combines cordless convenience with app-based scheduling, features not found in the Intex model. Designed for medium-sized pools, it offers thorough edge cleaning and smart scheduling capabilities. The unit measures 14.3 inches long and 8.86 inches high, providing a robust build for automated cleaning. It suits owners who value smart features and cordless operation over raw suction power. You gain the ability to schedule cleanings remotely and avoid hose tangles, but you lose the simplicity and low cost of the Intex system. This is a solid choice if you prioritize convenience and smart control for your above-ground pool maintenance routine.
